When is the best time to use my nitrous system?
When you see blue lights flashing behind you (joking), or you want to go fast, or do an unbelievable smoke show.Answer: The e-Ram is a distant cousin of the full blown turbo or supercharging system which employs a centrifugal impeller that must run all the time. They have to produce matched engine airflow, with high-pressure air compression (4 to 15 PSI is normal). This requires a tremendous amount of HP to drive the device.

How is the e-Ram different than a supercharger or Turbocharger?
Answer: The e-Ram is a distant cousin of the full blown turbo or supercharging system which employs a centrifugal impeller that must run all the time. They have to produce matched engine airflow, with high-pressure air compression (4 to 15 PSI is normal). This requires a tremendous amount of HP to drive the device. For example the airflow needed for a 2.5-liter engine at 6000 RPM is 240 CFM. At only 6 PSI, you would need 10 to 15 HP just to create this type of supercharging.No. It does two things that are critical to keyword success. First, it teaches you how to think about keywords, how to logically research using other tools on the web (mostly free ones) and your own mind to come up with a few of what we call Model keywords.

How much boost can I run with this turbocharger?
The basic kits run 5-6 psi boost. The turbocharger on our basic kits is capable of producing higher boost of 15+ psi. However, in most cases a larger turbocharger would be more efficient at higher boost levels. There is more to running higher boost than just turning the boost up. You must also be able to meet the fuel demands of higher boost as well as set up the engine to handle the extra power so that you don’t cause mechanical failures with the engine.

What is the difference between a Paxton Supercharger and a Turbocharger?
Turbochargers are powered by exhaust pressure while superchargers are driven from the engine crank pulley. Superchargers allow you to attain boost and horsepower on demand. A turbocharger requires the exhaust pressure to build resulting in a “lag” in horsepower increase. A turbocharger will typically have a higher discharge temperature than a centrifugal supercharger. This higher temperature is a result of the turbo impeller spinning faster and the heat generated from the exhaust gas.Answer: The e-Ram is a distant cousin of the full blown turbo or supercharging system which employs a centrifugal impeller that must run all the time.

How does a Magna Charger supercharger compare with a turbocharger?
All forced induction devices increase air pressure and density in the intake manifold by pumping more air than the engine would use without it. This concentrated charge of air results in a more powerful combustion stroke in the engine’s cylinders, resulting in improved performance over naturally aspirated vehicles. A supercharger is connected directly to the crankshaft by a belt; unlike a turbocharger, which is driven by exhaust gases. There will be a turbocharged version available from B2 Engines. Remember, much more has to be considered than just bolting on a turbo–lowering the compression ratio, turbo cooling, manifold interface, induction, etc.Every month I hold a Keyword Clinic teleseminar. It’s usually on the third or fourth Tuesday of the month.

Can I put an aftermarket turbocharger on this engine?
There will be a turbocharged version available from B2 Engines. Remember, much more has to be considered than just bolting on a turbo–lowering the compression ratio, turbo cooling, manifold interface, induction, etc.A supercharger is connected directly to the crankshaft by a belt unlike a turbocharger which is driven by exhaust gases.
